Roy was born and raised in South Africa, a true “Capey.” And ever since he can remember, he has enjoyed the unique flavors of authentic biltong and boerwors.
In 1987, at the age of 29, Roy moved his family to Houston, TX and brought with him the taste for South African specialties he had been cultivating since birth.
For almost 25 years Roy worked to master and perfect his recipes for biltong and boerwors. Many thanks must be given to countless tasters in the Houston South African community. The result of these years of work is the product we sell here - an authentic, savory South African delicacy that can be enjoyed by South African and American meat lovers alike.

Gavin was born in South Africa, but moved to Houston, TX at the age of 3. The son of a master biltong maker, Gavin has been around this fine South African dried meat snack his entire life. Although many have tried, none can replicate the excellence Roy has been able to acheive.
Gavin has a Bachelors Degree in Business Honors, Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He feels so strongly about the product we sell here that he has dedicated what little free time he has to helping develop a company that can bring the best biltong to the most people possible.
