How Biltong Is Made

How Our Biltong is Made


It starts with a phone call from our master Biltong maker's favorite local butcher to notify that a fresh shipment has arrived. 


After Roy has cleaned the meat, he personally hand butchers the steaks into strips:

He then hand-coats each piece in his Biltong spice, the recipe that took 25 years to perfect:

Next, the meat is hung in a custom drying box, again hand-built by our master Biltong maker after much trial and error:

Once dried to perfection, the Biltong is retrieved, sliced, packaged, and sent straight to your doorstep!
